Elimination of Poverty Policy

There is no greater problem facing Canada and the world than the elimination of poverty.

This very large task is within our abilities because there is more than enough wealth and production ability in the world to accomplish it. In 1989 the 3 main political parties in Canada agreed to alleviate poverty in Canada by the year 2000. By 2005 (16 years later) poverty had increased by 20%.
